The title will make more sense in a minute. This is Shadow, he's my Black lab, Samoyed cross. And he's getting on in years, as you can see. He used to be entirely black but for a patch on the chest, then as he got older, he got a goatee - which i found extrmely amusing. Still later, as you can see, he's got even more grey, eyebrows, paws, 'beard' and flecked through his fur all over.

I used to take pictures of him every now and then, but he used to be so dark - and my camera so crappy - that it was really impossible, but lately i've tried to get more done, since as much as i would like to deny it, he won't be around forever. Our friend Shadow here is about eleven or twelve years old - thats around 80 years old - and you can really see it to.

He's getting on in years, as you can see, so i try to get good pictures when i can.
